Inspect the barcode label close to the CPU socket or the 24-pin ATX connector. It should be positioned there, and the BIOS version printed on the bottom right corner is what you’re looking for. If you need help interpreting it, share a clear photo of the label with all digits visible.

I removed the CMOS battery for about ten seconds and used the jumper pin method for roughly ten seconds, but the issue persisted.

On Asrock it's embedded in the BIOS chipset. Minimum required is version 1.21.

Yeap, we are far from Ohio. Honestly I would've get refund on the board instead of trying to update the BIOS unless if you need PCIE 5, the E line is kind of sparse in official QVL 7800X3D support and the X670E Steel Legend isn't verified for it in the QVL page. But if you want to try, this is the SOP to use the flashback function on your board. No warnings about updating one by one so just update to the latest version which would also give you access to AGESA 1.0.0.7A, that fixed a lot of the RAM compatibility issues at high speed. https://www.asrock.com/support/QA/FlashbackSOP.pdf

I noticed this feature on my motherboard with the BIOS flashback option. The main thing that worries me is backing up your BIOS before making changes, since updating it might damage your entire motherboard if you're not cautious. Edited August 5, 2023 by Envincy
