The CPU cooler fan fails to activate promptly.
Hello, I just fixed a temperature issue with my pc so i had to raise the big block of the aio cooler and reseat the pump with new and better paste. since i did this my pc has been running way cooler. Something weird happens now tho but i am not sure if its an actual problem or a stupid thing. every time i turn my pc on after a longer time of not using it, the lights on my cpu pump are delayed with turning on until i get into windows (i am booted in bios right now for the last 5 minutes and they are still off) i have looked and the pump is on in bios and is circulating water tho. the weird thing is is that if i restart my pc now the lights will turn on instantly. anyone know if this is just a software problem or something is wrong with my aio cooler? any help is greatly appreciated
It appears the RGB feature only activates when the software initiates it, suggesting the pump remains operational.
Good news is that if the pump is running, the CPU stays cool and you don't have to worry. As for why the lights don't come alive after a long shutdown. The AIO is probably booting into the last known state while waiting for the windows software to give commands. And the way the last known state is remembered is probably a little circuit fed by a capacitor. The capacitor discharges very slowly but it has its limits. If you wait too long before the next computer boot, the capacitor may be completely discharged and the last known state is lost. Thus, the AIO waits for Windows to send a command before lighting up. And I also may be wrong.... One way or another, I think it is a harmless quirk. Hope that helps
