The CPU cooler activates for five seconds before shutting down.
Hello everyone,
I’ve been experiencing an issue with my PC recently. The specifications are as follows:
Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Pro 3
RAM: 8GB
Crucial 1600Mhz plus
2GB
Micron 1060Mhz - -
10GB
total.
CPU: i7-2600
GPU: GTX 970 4GB
The problem begins while gaming – the PC suddenly shuts down, and when I tried to restart it, the CPU fan turned on for about 5 seconds before stopping.
I believed the cooler was the cause because it didn’t fit properly (the cooler has screws, but the motherboard doesn’t have the corresponding holes).
So I searched for a replacement and bought an Intel stock cooler, which I installed correctly, but the issue persists.
Many videos suggest RAM is the main culprit, but cleaning the slots didn’t help.
I’m unsure what to do next.
Which power supply is being used?
How warm are the CPU and GPU when under load?
Replace the BIOS battery.
my corsair cx750m has a cpu temperature near 48 °C during games, 50 C for the gpu, but removing the battery causes it to stop completely.
replace the battery
test RAM using memtest usb autoinstaller
execute userbenchmark.com and share the outcome link
examine GPU performance on another machine
assess PSU functionality with another setup
use manufacturer tools to inspect hard drives
inspect the cpu socket on the motherboard for any bent pins
modify the bios if an update is possible
