The Corsair Vengeance RGB remains active indefinitely.
I just put 2 8gb sticks of Vengeance RGB in my PC. My motherboard is a Gigabyte z170x ud3. I've searched around for a way to make the memory LEDs turn off automatically when I put the computer to sleep, and it seems that there isn't a way to do this yet... That would be fine, as long as I could do it manually. Every time I turn them off in iCUE, the right stick turns right back on as soon as I sleep the PC.... any idea why this would happen, or how to fix it?? my PC is in my bedroom and that thing is really bright.... I love the look of the ram but I'd like to not have to shut down all the way every night....
Take it seriously. Why would you avoid ending it? Or leave it inactive instead of putting it to rest? Or focus on the vibrant colors?
You're starting from scratch with RGB settings. Right now your strips are showing colors automatically, but you're not sure if your motherboard has a built-in RGB header. The ones on the case can turn off when you power down, while your RAM stays connected. You want to see if you can connect them and sync them together.
I've already given it a shot. One stays off, while the other on the right switches back on once I fall asleep.
You enter those values in the corresponding settings panel. The 050505 setting makes both lights active yet faint. The 000000 setting keeps them off until the system powers down, after which the joystick resumes operation with a bright rainbow effect.
Essentially the left button stays where you set it in iCUE, but the right one goes back to Bright Rainbow whenever I put it to sleep. It remains very bright even at 000000, and the right button turns on again during sleep. I plan to swap them to check if the outcome changes... if it does, it’s likely a motherboard issue.
