The Corsair K95 RGB Platinum exhibits erratic behavior.
For approximately a month, I’ve owned this keyboard since its initial purchase. From the beginning, it has exhibited several problems: occasionally, keys will duplicate themselves unexpectedly and necessitate disconnecting the device to resolve the issue. Other times, it becomes completely unresponsive, requiring a reset. The RGB lighting occasionally freezes for around 30 seconds. Furthermore, when my Razer wireless headphones are activated, the keyboard loses responsiveness (though the RGB remains illuminated). Last night, after uninstalling the Corsair iCUE software from my system, the keyboard’s issues disappeared. However, this action also removed all customization options. I'm unsure whether the problem lies with the software, Windows itself, or the keyboard hardware – I’m genuinely baffled.
I experienced a persistent problem with my keyboard. I intended to request a return merchandise authorization (RMA), but I lacked the original receipt, so I disassembled it and discovered aluminum particles at the base near the problematic keys. After removing these fragments and ensuring both sides were clear of additional contaminants, I reassembled the keyboard, and it has functioned without problems for a short period. However, I haven’t yet confirmed that the issue is completely resolved due to its recent occurrence. If your keyboard remains under warranty, you should consider contacting Corsair for an RMA.
