The Corsair H60 isn't establishing correct connection with the CPU and backplate, causing it to not secure properly.
I have recently put in a H60 onto my Asus Z-97P / i5 4690k @ 4.4 GHz 1.2V. I noticed that the backplate was loose and didn't fit perfectly even though I had the correct socket setup. Once I installed the standoffs, the backplate stopped being loose but there was still a small gap between my motherboard and the bracket. During testing, I easily reached 80 degrees under load, which is not acceptable. It seems the block isn't making proper contact with the CPU because the thermal compound wasn't spread evenly. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
