My Corsair All-in-One liquid cooler consistently operates at a high volume, particularly while gaming despite my CPU usage remaining around 30%. The Corsair iCUE software offers no relief; the displayed fan speeds are perpetually set to 360 RPM, and the temperature remains stubbornly at 40.0°C—neither value adjusts in response to changes in the AIO’s audible fan speed. I've contacted Corsair support three times with no resolution. My most recent interaction suggested a complete removal and reinstall of iCUE, which temporarily resolved the issue until my computer was restarted. Physically, the cable connecting both the fan and pump controls to the CPU header on my motherboard is functioning correctly; I can successfully alter the AIO’s colors via iCUE, indicating a valid connection. The problem lies solely with the erratic fan speed control. My system specifications are: Intel i7 7700k running at 4.2 GHz, an EVGA GeForce GTX 1080, a Corsair H100i v2 AIO, 16GB of 2600MHz RAM, and an Asus Z170-A motherboard.

Do you have other Corsair items like a headset?

I find the iCue unappealing because it doesn't provide close to the level of control offered by Corsair Link 4 software; you might want to test it after uninstalling iCue if it prompts you to remove configuration files – please confirm yes.

Download the Corsair Link 4 version:

The supply head can operate any component at maximum velocity.
It appears you intend to link the cooling unit connections to the processor connection located on the printed circuit board.
Please review the setup guidelines as I haven't reviewed them previously.

The supply line can operate at maximum velocity.
I believe you intend to link the blower connections to the processor connection on the mainboard.
Please review the setup guidelines as I haven’t reviewed them previously.
I verified the modification and it was already attached to my processor connection.

I find the iCue unsatisfactory because it doesn’t provide nearly as much control as the Corsair Link 4 software; you might want to test it after uninstalling iCue if it prompts you to remove configuration files – please select yes.
