You're facing an issue with the spring-loaded screws on your Wraith Stealth cooler. Try applying extra pressure or using a screwdriver with a flat end to help drive them in. If they still don’t fit, it might be a manufacturing defect or a problem with the product itself.
Wow, that's a lot to take in! If I had gone all in, things might have turned out very differently.
I don't understand this image well—I can't even spot the screws. It seems odd, isn't it? My version shows screws on the exterior. Could be a strange angle, but do you really reach to them? Also, I think it would be better to mount the fan outside the case (that's the standard method). Edit: Got it—somehow that photo was confusing me!
I already secured my cooler. The person who assisted in this discussion explained the purpose of placing fans on the outside of the case, but it’s unclear exactly why or how it should be done. It’s also not clear what the final appearance should look like.
the cooler would appear uneven and you’d need significant effort to align it properly, especially if you’re not able to place it directly over your CPU.
You might have placed the fan outside the case, which explains why you saw the backplate. Probably just a coincidence!
