I purchased a set of standard Cat6 keystones: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IO3HEN6?ref...tails&th=1. The issue is that my box is very narrow (around 3cm), and when I attempt to press the wall plate with the keystone, it damages the solid copper wires because they run from the back of the keystone and get compressed. I discovered these angled keystones – 180 degree: https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=15694, which might be a solution. However, sometimes the cable is on the top of the box rather than the side, so I’ll have to rotate the wall plate and it will appear tilted (just for looks). Are there 180 degree keystones with a different orientation, like the channel being perpendicular to the keystone’s clip instead of parallel? Or any other ideas? Thanks!
You might want to look up 'slim profile keystones' or 'female to female termination keystones'. The latter already has the wall-end crimped and could work well in narrow outlets. For me, if I faced this issue, I'd prioritize performance over appearance. Neat wall-colored face plates would still give a polished look either way.
Consider those keystones in a 90s style and hit the cable directly from the top. (It won't be perfect, but it could work.)
