I've been using my PC for nearly five years and recently faced an issue where pressing the power button causes fans and lights to turn on and then off repeatedly. I fixed it once by replacing the CMOS battery, but it doesn’t always resolve the problem. After a few days of working around it, a power outage made that solution ineffective. It’s an AsRock Z97 Extreme 3 model.

The board displays signs of aging. It doesn’t match the best standards for its era; the PSU seems to be similar.

Psu works well as a seasonic G series board, but I’ve checked by changing components one by one to find the issue. The main concern is whether the problem lies with the motherboard and if it can be resolved.

Unfortunately, if it is the board just showing its age, there is nothing you can really do. All motherboards have a lifespan that really varies based on how you've used your system. A good motherboard can last up to 10 years with normal use, but others (lower quality ones) can be around 3-5 years instead.

You can transfer the drive, upload the files to another computer, reinstall Windows from Microsoft’s site, and then return it to your laptop.

It's really frustrating since my whole country is under lockdown and I'm losing interest in playing games. I've been trying on my own, but I feel like I should just stop. Thanks for all the responses!

One of your SSDs might be faulty, something similar happened to me two years ago. I sent it in for repair and returned the GTX 1080 cards, motherboard, and RAM. After everything arrived intact, it was either the PSU I replaced or one of my hard drives that failed, triggering an auto-reboot cycle.

I don’t own an SSD, and unless I’m checking if my Hyper 212 EVO is damaging the motherboard, I’ll focus on fixing it.

I've worked with this SSD before. Avoid purchasing them.
