The computer won't restart, yet it starts normally after power off.
I just completed my first PC build and everything went well. There’s one concern I have. The computer won’t boot after restarting. It functions perfectly when I close all programs and power off, but fails completely when I choose the “restart” option. I haven’t noticed any ASUS MMO issues with the orange LED RAM warning.
Specifics: CPU i5 12400F, GPU PowerColor Hellhound7800xt, PSU Corsair SF750, RAM G.Skill Ripjaws S5 (DRD5, 2x16GB, 6000MHz, CL30), Mobo Asus B760i gaming WiFi, SSD Lexar NM790 1TB.
What I’ve tried so far after checking similar threads on Reddit:
1) Swapped RAM sticks, tested different slots.
2) Reflashed BIOS, updated to 1641 and 1604.
3) Removed the brand-new 1TB case fan.
4) Replaced RAM, CPU fan, case fans, and LED wiring in the MMO.
5) Disabled XMP profile and restored default BIOS settings.
6) Restarted with no USB devices connected on the header/MBO.
7) Memtest86 passed, everything else works fine.
