On power button the PC launches properly, lights activate correctly, then shuts down after roughly ten seconds before restarting instantly. During that period no POST appears, no BIOS screen shows up—just a pause followed by shutdown. No Debug LEDs are visible. Once it powers back on, the process resumes normally. Current specs: 14700k, 64GB Corsair Vengeance 5600 CL40 RAM, 9070XT, MSI MAG B760 board (BIOS updated but prior to this), 1000W Corsair RM100E, 420MM ICUE AIO troubleshooting. Begin by eliminating unnecessary components and powering on. Use the integrated graphics card instead of a dedicated GPU, remove unused storage drives, and detach any nonessential USB devices. Also, is there any indication of Intel Raptor Lake performance issues? I haven’t seen any references suggesting this model might be affected, but it’s worth checking. It's interesting you brought up the drives—I own a 2TB NVMe unit for all my needs and still have an old 1TB drive that remains unused on the board. I'm curious if that could be the cause. I haven't tried anything yet for troubleshooting, but it seems reasonable to check. I might also have an older 800W EVGA card somewhere that I could test to see how it behaves. Someone else has suggested this, but I'd expected different symptoms than the odd startup issues. As far as I know, I've had this setup since April last year. The company that sold me it included it as a pre-tested package and updated the BIOS before any testing. I've kept it reasonably current, and once it's running it works smoothly—no stuttering or strange crashes. Running multiple programs in Hyper-V while doing other tasks never slowed anything down.
It might not seem like it, but it could be memory training. Try disabling Memory context restore (or whatever setting in your BIOS), then boot, re-enable it, and see if it affects the issue. Another option is to reset the CMOS memory, which could fix corrupt values in the BIOS settings. Good luck!
Took some time but everything is sorted now. I don’t remember the details, but I believe disabling secure boot and adding FTMP in BIOS helped me switch to Pop OS yesterday. My PC never warned me about any issues before, so there was no suspicion at all. After changing, it works perfectly as expected.
