I took out the CPU cooler and noticed the CPU was still connected to it. I tried applying heat to try to detach it, but nothing worked. Eventually, I used a credit card to remove it completely. After installing the CPU in the PC, I encountered issues accessing the motherboard logo or Windows, which caused the system to shut down. After waiting an hour, the screen remained blank, and the PC briefly restarted before shutting down repeatedly.

Observe that according to my understanding, there are no bent pins. The CPU is an R7 1700 equipped with its standard cooler.

Yes, I re-applied the thermal paste. The heat mentioned was quite high.

I'm not sure yet, I'm attempting to run it without the cooler. The temperature was quite high, but not as extreme as 90°C.

The CPU includes internal overheating safeguards because the cooler isn't connected. This feature is designed to stop the processor from overheating and potentially damaging it.

The cooler is placed correctly but isn't performing as expected.

Apply thermal paste to the component, though it seems risky

The processor requires downward pressure to fit into its socket, which might have caused the damage. You should never attempt to boot a computer without the proper cooling system in place.

The motherboard slot is fine for installing a new CPU.
