The computer suddenly lost its ability to connect to the Wi-Fi network.
I’ve never experienced this problem before, but I just moved into a new apartment and am facing WiFi difficulties. In about a week, my computer has suddenly stopped working without any blue screen or error alerts. I have to change the power outlet to get it back online. It’s connected to the same surge protector I’ve used for years without any issues. The first time the internet failed, I tried the troubleshooter and it resolved it. It happened again yesterday, but now I’m stuck trying to fix it. I’ve updated all the drivers, and in Device Manager it shows everything is working fine. Please help me out—I’m not very familiar with internet settings.
Launch cmd, execute ipconfig /release then ipconfig /renew. If it assigns you an IPv4 address, proceed; verify DNS entries using ipconfig /all. If neither appears, the problem lies elsewhere.
