The computer started acting sluggish.
Early this month my laptop started acting very sluggish. It takes a long time to start up and loading basic apps like File Explorer is slow. I ran a virus scan with Windows Defender, but nothing came up. I tried malware analysis and it detected something, but removing it didn’t help. I’m not sure if there’s a hidden threat or if it’s something else entirely. The laptop was fine a month ago. In File Explorer, the “This PC” button turned black, which makes me think of a virus. Also, the internet connection on this Wi-Fi seems to be unstable—it works with other devices but fails to connect here. This issue is happening right now.
