I recently chose a new case and an additional fan for my PC. It started up the first time and everything appeared normal. After about 20 minutes of using Windows while watching YouTube, I lost connection to the monitor. The RGB stayed on and the fans continued spinning, but there was no boot sound. I also noticed popping noises from the speakers when I shut down normally. The PC didn’t restart or power off completely. The monitor displayed a black screen with no signal. Before changing the case, everything worked perfectly. People suggested it might be a power supply issue. I opted to replace the PSU, which is still functioning. Both PSUs I have are 1000W, which seems excessive. I ran stress tests on the GPU and CPU to check for problems, and both passed. My only concern is the motherboard—maybe it’s failing after just a case swap and fan addition. I checked Event Viewer and saw entries like kernel 41, but it sometimes appears after a few minutes, 20 minutes, or hours, or never. If I leave the PC on overnight, it shouldn’t happen again. It doesn’t occur when I enter BIOS or the login screen. Temperatures during load are normal; CPU maxes around 81°C in Warzone and GPU around 60°C. PC components: CPU – AMD Ryzen 9 7900X, GPU – ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, RAM – Corsair DDR5 32GB 6000MHz, MOBO, case – ASUS Prime B650 M-A, Aprevia ATX-PR1000W PSU, SSD – JONSOBO D41 Mesh SC black ATX, and more.

Unless you have a WHEA-logger event within the 10 minutes before or after the Kernel-Power event, it seems like power loss is the likely cause. Consider the PSU, the power cable, a faulty power strip, or inconsistent wall power. If you have a WHEA-logger event, right-click → save it and share it on the forum.
