Hello, I'm experiencing a problem where my PC shuts down unexpectedly and can't be powered off normally. It works fine for short periods but randomly stops responding. The RAM functions correctly on another machine, so the issue isn't with that part. Here are your specifications: GIGABYTE B650M AORUS ELITE CORSAIR RM850e ASRock Phantom Gaming Radeon RX 6950 SAMSUNG 980 M.2 2280 1TB G.SKILL Trident Z5 RGB Series 32GB DeepCool Liquid Cooler LT520 240mm Ryzen 5 7600X.

Hello, I attempted to reset the BIOS and returned to the original voltage, timing, and frequency settings. It functioned properly for a day before failing again. I also ran MemTest while it was active, and it didn’t indicate any RAM issues.

Did you notice any error code before shutting down or when it posted back up? Do you have any overclock and undervolt on your gpu and cpu? Or at the time it shuts off, is there anything in particular that happened, like knocking it by accident, ect? With an absence of any error code/beeps, the only thing I can think of swapping each parts. Basically the very basic of troubleshooting, disassembling the pc from the case, just put the motherboard on it's carton box(this is to isolate if there's any shortage going on). Test it first with just 1 ram and only using IGPU. Remove everything that's connected through the usb and drive. Just use one drive(OS), and one at a time connect a mouse and keyboard(this is to isolate issue with usb failures). Then slowly add each parts, like GPU and/or swapping them, if it still happening until you actually found the cause(if is due to specific hardware). However the problem here is that first, you would need more than one parts each, potentially and 2nd, since it's an intermittent issue, meaning it happens but you don't know when, and you can't recreate it on the fly. So technically, it's not hard, it time consuming, even if you have another motherboard, cpu, ram, etc.

If the system stops and won’t boot after turning off the power source fully, the issue might be with the motherboard or the PSU’s protection system. Check all connections and components for damage or loose parts that could create a short circuit. If everything looks fine, the problem likely lies with a specific hardware part—consider replacing the PSU first, then the motherboard. Good luck if you need further help.
