The computer shuts down during gameplay.
Pc has been shutting down for several months now. During certain games it completely powers off, and I can’t restart it. I have to turn the power off and wait 10-20 minutes before it comes back on. I swapped my old hard drive for a new SSD, upgraded the power supply, and just recently bought a new GPU. It still works fine. The CPU temperatures stayed below 60°C while playing BG3, and the GPU was around 65°C. I’m unsure what’s causing it to turn off. The parts I haven’t changed are the CPU, RAM, and motherboard. I’m planning to get a new CPU cooler tomorrow, but I doubt it will help. Any advice on why this is happening would be helpful.
Specs: CPU model i7-8700k, Power supply Apevia ATX-SP700 Spirit ATX, RAM 32 GB, Corsair vengeance RGB pro, Motherboard GIGABYTE B360 AORUS Gaming 3 WiFi, Wi-Fi standard USB 3.1 Gen 2, CPU cooler Corsair Hydro Series H100i PRO RGB AIO, 240mm radiator, dual 120mm ML series PWM fans. PSU is brand new. Functioned properly for about three weeks before issues began. Initially suspected GPU problem, but after replacing it within 20 minutes of playing Red Dead, the issue resolved.
