Hey everyone, just upgraded my system with Microcenter's 7950x 3d bundle. While playing TFT, the computer restarted unexpectedly—this was the first time since the Friday upgrade. Playing actual league, EFT, and Borderlands GOTY Enhanced ran smoothly. Benchmarking didn’t cause any issues. Everything checked out: fans and pumps balanced on ICUE, drivers, windows, and BIOS up to date. CPU, motherboard, and RAM are brand new except for the NVMe drives, which are about 1-2 years old. My guess is the PSU has worn out, possibly due to the CPU upgrade since my previous i7-9700K might be showing signs. In Event Viewer, it says: "The previous system shutdown at 12:57:14 PM on 8/27/2023 was unexpected." It mentions the reboot happened without a clean shutdown and could be linked to the system stopping, crashing, or losing power suddenly. That’s about my understanding of PCs—please help! Also, my 2080 is acting as a bottleneck right now; I’ll consider upgrading when NVIDIA releases a real card worth the investment. PC specs: Windows 11, 7950x 3d, ASUS 2080 OC GPU, ASUS B650E-F, Wi-Fi, M.2 slot, Corsair H150i AIO radiator, RAID 2 970 EVO NVMe drives (3TB total), 850GB SSD, SuperNOVA P2 Platinum power supply, 9 fans (6 Corsair link + 3 ML). Everything seems fine except the new drives.

Check the CPU and GPU heat levels while they're running. Make sure the graphics card is properly cleaned or reattached. Verify the power supply is clean and functioning correctly.

AMD offers excellent choices with various cards available. If you can afford it, consider the 7900 XT; for a more budget-friendly pick, the 7900 XT is also viable. The 7800 XT and 7700 XT are expected to hit the market within about a week.

The best CPU I've noticed is around 70c, and 80c during tough games. The GPU runs smoothly without issues, and the PSU is working fine as of Friday using canned air.

I noticed them too. I'm checking the reviews first; I'm a bit cautious about AMD GPUs because of past driver issues, but if it works well, it's worth trying.

Current AMD drivers perform significantly better.
