You just performed an action that caused the fan to spin and the LEDs to activate unexpectedly, even though it wasn’t connected to the motherboard.

I would examine the motherboard and its connections. Maybe remove everything unnecessary for booting and try again.

I attempted this but it didn’t succeed. Probably the motherboard’s PSU failed, which is unusual given they’re only a few months old.

The PSU uses the paperclip technique. Do you have replacement components? Perhaps a budget PSU tester? Are there any specialized cables, extension pieces, or riser cards in use?

I purchased a fresh PSU from Best Buy and the RGB lights stopped flickering, yet it doesn’t power on even when using the motherboard start.

Yes, construct the platform beyond the case with only the core elements.

I swapped the motherboard with the same power supply I had before, and everything is functioning properly now. It’s unclear what caused the issue since the board was only a year old. Could the PSU have failed, or is there another reason?

It seems unlikely. Could be mere bad fortune. Have you made sure it was checked carefully?
