The computer restarts twice.
I just received this new RAM model: F4-4000C18Q-32GTZR from G.Skill. It fits my Asus ROG Maximus xi hero motherboard. The speed matches what the board supports. After installing it, my PC boots normally. But when I turn it off and power it back on, it takes a couple of seconds to start, then shuts down briefly before restarting after five seconds. That delay is really frustrating. Are you doing anything incorrect? Please advise.
This behavior is actually typical. All my ROG boards work consistently across both Intel and AMD systems. It seems that when using XMP, the board trains its memory during a cold boot before reaching full XMP speeds, which can cause it to restart. Sometimes this happens three times before it stabilizes.
Nothing can be done. After a cold boot, the motherboard memory starts up. Restarting won’t help without proper memory training. My RAM is 4267MHz and it doesn’t post straight from an XMP profile. I need to make adjustments. I’m using a Maximus X Hero with an 8700K. I checked with one of the leading overclockers to confirm.
