The computer restarts during gameplay.
My computer has recently begun restarting unexpectedly during gameplay. I typically stream content on a secondary monitor while gaming, and this behavior frequently occurs when streaming. However, the reboots also happen even without a stream running while I play. Initially, I suspected an issue with my processor or graphics card due to overheating. I performed a GPU stress test, which resulted in a crash, prompting me to use MSI Afterburner to adjust my fan speeds and lower temperatures. This temporarily resolved the problem, with the GPU maintaining a temperature between 60°C and 70°C, and the CPU at approximately 60°C. Unfortunately, the reboots returned, leaving me baffled. The only possible explanation is a defective power supply unit, though I’m uncertain about this diagnosis. I've updated all drivers. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
My system details:
MSI GTX 970
i5-4690K
16 GB 1886 RAM
Corsair VS550, 550W
Being that it's a VS550 , it could be the PSU , it's a series at the very bottom of Corsair's lineups.
Considering it’s a VS550 model, the power supply unit might be the issue – it's located at the lowest tier of Corsair’s product range. I was wondering, do you have any suggestions for good power supplies that I should consider? I’m looking at this one: https://www.amazon.com/Seasonic-S12II-62...wer+supply. Also, could I utilize the existing cables from my Corsair system and connect them to a new power supply unit? I’m hesitant to undertake this task myself, as I have adequate cable organization currently. Thank you for your prompt response.
The SEVENA is viable, but this presents an excellent opportunity.

I am from EU so unfortunately I can't take the deal, thanks anyways!
Unfortunately, this retailer no longer stocks the EVGA G2 model. I located a SEASONSIC Focus Plus Gold 550W power supply, and I’m wondering if that is a more recent product or if the original unit I was considering represents a superior value for the price.
The Seasonic Focus Plus Gold 550W is an exceptionally reliable power supply – a highly recommended choice.
