My machine, when idle, tends to stall if no game is active. I mostly use the regular desktop version of Demeo, and keeping it running in the background prevents lockups. Sometimes it freezes right at startup and needs several reboots before it starts. It can become unresponsive in just a few minutes without a running game. I've had to swap out the main M.2 drive twice over its two-and-a-half-year life, though I'm unsure if the slot itself is the issue. My main concern comes from a USB recovery drive I got with my purchase; booting from it after reinstalling Windows 10 felt problematic. That didn't seem to depend on the drive itself. As someone with moderate IT skills but more focused on web and app development lately, my hardware knowledge is a bit outdated. I'm finding this challenging. I haven't replaced the power supply or motherboard yet, as I prefer avoiding guesswork and costs. All external devices are removed, and I've tried different storage drives. I have a replacement M.2 unit available, planning to install it in the next open slot and attempt a fresh Windows 11 setup. I stopped trying that once the USB boot issue persisted. The Dropbox folder with a single requested file is part of my troubleshooting, along with Performance Monitor logs. I've run these tools twice for over ten minutes each and they still don't complete. If it works later, I'll save the results there. Operating systems in question: Windows 8.1, 8, 7, Vista; Windows 10 Pro x86 (32-bit) or x64. Which OS was originally installed? Was it an OEM version (pre-installed) or a retail copy? I bought it from Cyberpower prebuilt, so it's an OEM unit. System age: 2 years and 7 months. OS installation history: I haven't reinstalled it. I maintain regular backups with Macrium and restore from clones when issues arise. CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 3.7GHz base, 12 cores/24 threads, 70MB cache, 105W. Graphics: GeForce RTX 3080, 10GB GDDR6X. Motherboard: ASUS TUF X570-PLUS GAMING, ATX, 1,000W Corsair RMx RM1000X, Gold-certified, fully modular and quiet. Power supply: CyberPower Exact model (THUMP100), 80 PLUS Gold, modular design.

This past week 4802 was released, and I'm planning to install it now. I've been using 4602 since its launch. I'll go ahead and install 4802 and let you know the results.

That's RAM-related. I didn't see the configuration details, so it's unclear why it was omitted.

RAM settings remained included in the initial message. A ZIP archive was shared, following forum instructions, which includes RAMInfo.html. Summary from BIOS indicates: DIMM_A1 16384MB at 2400Mhz, DIMM_A2 16384MB at 2400Mhz, DIMM_B1 16384MB at 2400Mhz, DIMM_B2 16384MB at 2400Mhz.

I documented that the BIOS update didn't resolve the issue. After letting the system idle, rebooting, and freezing at startup, I managed to return to the desktop after a forced restart. I started a game to prevent further freezing. Emosun mentioned checking RAM again, so I plan to reduce the RAM from 64GB to 32GB and test stability. I noted in my original post that MemTest86 ran multiple times with no errors, which might suggest a subtle DIMM issue isn't the main problem. I'm not sure this will fix it, but I don’t have any major graphics projects planned for now. I might be less responsive later due to a prior commitment, but I’m open to suggestions or hearing from others about similar experiences.

That's exactly what I believed. Too many sticks. Try reducing it to one and check stability first.

Reduced to one RAM module. Set up according to the manual for a single stick configuration. Issues remain unchanged. I've tried all available RAM sticks and tested different slots B2 and A2 one at a time. Note: I'm evaluating using an older 1060 GPU from another system, temporarily swapping it in while testing RAM and installing fresh Windows. I anticipate replacing the PSU or motherboard next, as both seem similarly priced. Likely to rely on chance then. Previously, I prioritized PSU replacement first...

I replaced my graphics card with a spare 1060 from a stable machine, but it didn’t help much. I went into the BIOS and adjusted a few settings, though the improvement was minimal. When I changed the preset modes from "normal" to the only other available level, the system stayed stable while a game ran continuously. I assumed this would optimize performance, and it did. I hope this helps someone else. I’ve been running smoothly for days now.
