The computer isn't turning on.
I replaced the CMOS battery thinking it was dead after five years, but it still won’t power on. The monitor and keyboard lights work, yet pressing the power button doesn’t activate the system. My machine is a Ryzen 3200G with 8GB RAM, a 450W PSU, 120GB SSD, and another 240GB SSD.
Consider using a screwdriver to test the case's power button instead of assuming it failed.
Check the bottom of your motherboard in the manual to see what pins are available. Then source any metal components and connect them accordingly.
It seems the device doesn't respond to the power button because it's not receiving the necessary input or power source.
so a new case possibly? (edit: external switch should be fine right?)
