I've been using this system for two years without any issues until recently. In late September, my PC wouldn't power on after a morning attempt to start it. I tried diagnosing by removing parts, but nothing worked until I left the computer disconnected for a day and then reconnected it. It would work for about 12 hours straight, then shut down unexpectedly. When I tried turning it back on again, it would immediately stop, leaving it without power for another half day. After that, it would turn back on but shut down after another 12 hours of use. I've replaced the RAM, removed the SSD and HDD, unplugged everything from the motherboard, and even tried disconnecting the GPU. The CPU fan stayed on, but I couldn't test the PSU since I don't have a spare unit. My PSU specs are: 16GB DDR4 3200 MHz, two x2 x4 RAM slots, M.2 NVMe drives, a 512GB SSD, and a 1TB NVMe drive.
I have a PSU expected to arrive by this Thursday, likely the Thermaltake GF1 (2024) Fully Modular ATX 850W Power Supply – 80 Plus Gold, ultra quiet, zero RPM, PS-TPD-0850FNFAGU-P.
