The system functioned normally until this morning. While working, the screen went dark but the PC kept running. After turning it off, it failed to start when powered from the case switch. I shorted the MOB power pins, but it still wouldn’t boot. Although the MOB module had power, the PSU was operating correctly. A friend suggested it could be related to the RAM. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Specs: i7-12700K, Kingston Beast 32GB, 5200MHz, Gigabyte Z690 UD DDR5, MOB.

You were working on it while it was operating. Do you have a motherboard speaker? Are you receiving a Post beep? If someone recommended RAM problems, have you attempted to remove and reset the RAM? Try taking one stick out at a time. You might also relocate the sticks to various DIMM slots if your motherboard supports it. We aim to test all combinations, since RAM issues can be tricky and we want to eliminate common causes.

You watched a helpful video, but the screen went black. You didn’t have a motherboard speaker and tried removing RAM, only one per slot worked but nothing changed. After taking it apart and updating the BIOS, it still didn’t respond. The BIOS description mentioned a Kingston 8G/32G DDR5 issue. Consider trying different RAM or checking other components.
