The computer isn't powering up.
I recently assembled my PC about a year ago, and it has performed well until now. However, it won’t power up at all. The RAM, CPU fans, and graphics card lights are on, suggesting they function properly. There are no red signals on the motherboard to illuminate, leaving me without any clues. The HDMI cable is connected to the monitor. How can I determine the cause of this issue?
It might involve several issues such as a failing power supply, a dying CPU, or a faulty motherboard. Excluding RAM problems, I recommend disconnecting and reconnecting all cables to ensure they’re securely placed. Start by testing with just one RAM stick at a time and checking different slots. You can also reinsert the CPU here. Consider removing all storage devices, including the boot drive, to rule out interference. If you can access the BIOS without the boot drive, proceed. If these steps don’t resolve the problem, try testing each component individually on another machine to identify the culprit. CPU, RAM, PSU, drives—if everything checks out, the motherboard is likely the issue.
