Hey, your girlfriend recently bought a PC from PCspecialists in July last year. It has been running smoothly until about two weeks ago when it started disconnecting and reconnecting during online games. We've tried many solutions and kept contacting their support team. Now she reinstalled Windows cleanly, but the problems persist. She suspects the PC's PCIe network card might be the issue, though we're not sure. She mentioned her power cord was partially inserted into the power supply and she could hear electricity, so she shut it down and reinserted it fully. Anyone have any advice? Is there a chance it needs a new PC or just a software fix? Looking forward to your help. Best regards, Endre

You're referring to the two network connections—one wired and one wireless. It's unclear which specific adapter you mean, but both types can impact regular internet use depending on speed and stability.

She's relying on the wireless adapter, but it's creating problems. She can't use a wired connection.

Regular internet use and file transfers function properly. The adapter appears to be detected without any issues in Device Manager.

There are no issues while browsing or downloading games.
The device identifies itself and appears to function without any problems.

Conduct a wireless survey using WiFi Analyzer on the PC while experiencing the issue. Capture and share screenshots of the 2.4GHz spectrum. Note that scanning at 5GHz isn't possible with your WiFi adapter.

It seems the internet issue might be linked to the ISP or router itself. Her current provider is Sky Network, which has a long track record of inconsistent service. A technician visited her home today and performed a standard check. The connection appeared stable, but once they left, the internet would drop completely again. It looks like there could be a problem with the router or network switch in her house. For reference, here’s a link to the type of switches Sky Networks uses: https://www.sky.com/business/help/articl...d-problems

I believed you mentioned she relies on WiFi. Did you try to complete the survey? Your explanation might stem from various reasons, but because she’s using the 2.4GHz band—a band prone to interference and congestion—the survey would clarify it quickly. Playing games over WiFi at that frequency can lead to performance problems due to high latency.
