Hello,

My personal computer has begun shutting down unexpectedly. It appears to occur more often while I'm playing games, though it can also happen when viewing video content. This issue began today and has occurred approximately once every hour.

Yesterday, I experienced difficulty simply getting the computer to power on, but after cleaning and removing dust from within, it functioned without issue for the remainder of the day.

I am utilizing HWMonitor to monitor system temperatures and related metrics, and the data indicates all readings are within acceptable ranges. I also examined the event viewer; however, I am unfamiliar with its contents. Kindly refer to the attached images.

Could anyone suggest potential causes for this issue?

Thank you in advance!

The power supply unit is experiencing an issue; its +12 volt output is deviating from acceptable parameters. It’s necessary to substitute the power supply unit.

The power supply unit’s voltage regulator is failing, specifically the +12 volt output is not meeting required standards. It’s necessary to replace the power supply unit.

It seems like there might be a problem with the cooling system, perhaps related to temperature. Are the fans functioning properly? It could be beneficial to remove any accumulated dust (but only after powering down your computer completely).

Could you please specify what components you possess?
such as
@Tech Overlord indicated, it appears to be related to a power supply unit issue.

The 12-volt positive rail deviating from its intended parameters triggers a disconnection of power, subsequently resulting in system cessation.

Thank you, I’ll certainly attempt that.

Right now, I possess a Cooler Master G650M, a 650W power supply unit, however it appears to be out of stock in my region presently. When searching for an alternative power supply, what specifications should I prioritize? Specifically, is matching the wattage a critical factor?

Component grade, performance, and voltage levels are important considerations.

I suggest evaluating Corsair CX or TX power supplies.
