The computer is not turning on, yet the RAM lights are illuminated.
Hi, earlier today my computer was working well. I didn’t use it for around 30 minutes and it entered idle mode which is typical. But when I tried to turn it on again, nothing happened. I couldn’t restart it, so I had to switch off the power supply behind the PSU to shut it down. After that, when I tried to power it back up, only the RAM lights came on and no other functions worked. I removed one RAM stick and then both, but nothing changed. I also attempted to boot without a graphics card, which didn’t work. When I unplugged the PSU cable and reconnected it, I heard two clicks. The CPU is Ryzen 9 5950x, GPU is RTX 3090, RAM is 2x16GB DDR4 at 3600MHz, PSU is Corsair RMX 850.
I observed an additional detail. Once I connected the PSU cable, the RAM activated immediately. It seems the computer appears to be frozen in idle mode if you understand what I mean.
In the end, I purchased a brand new PSU but the problem persists. As soon as I connect it, the RAM lights up and when I attempt to power on the PC, I hear a click from the new PSU.
