I own a Ryzen 5 PC with a B450M-A board, a Ryzen 5 2600, an RX 480 with 8GB RAM, 16GB of 3000MHz DDR4 memory, and a 500W EVGA 80Plus power supply. Recently I've been disconnecting all components from the motherboard—PSU connectors, GPU, CPU power cable, CMOS battery, RAM. I've switched to a 500W Dell OEM PSU that fits the board and GPU, but nothing works. No boot screen, keyboard and mouse won't turn on. I'm really stuck and need advice. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Attempted to exchange the motherboard. I’m confused and don’t see another explanation.
I don’t have any other motherboards to replace, and the orange LED lights are turning on. It looks like an ASUS B450M-A model.
I’ll let you know the details of what occurred. The PC is new, and it happened while the system was active. No environmental changes were noted before or after the incident.
It was just one day before I didn’t want to boot the BIOS logo. I tried disconnecting the drives, the RAM, everything. Then nothing came through. Now I have a new motherboard and am facing the same problem—just can’t boot past the logo. I’ve even tried booting from USB to reinstall Windows, but it still doesn’t work.
Have you explored another GPU? Onboard graphics are fine too. If this isn’t the issue, I’m confident it’s a CPU problem.
I tested the board but realized the Ryzen 5 2600 lacks built-in graphics. I tried a 1050, but it wouldn’t even start because of that. It’s frustrating since I’m struggling financially and can’t afford a new CPU. I think this is the main problem.
