The problem began yesterday. When I tried to turn on the PC, all fans—including case, CPU, and GPU—spun at full speed. The RGB lights on the motherboard and fans stopped working too. I checked another PC with a PSU and it booted normally. It seems the issue might be with the motherboard itself, since it won’t power on at all. My current setup includes an Aorus B550 Elite V2, Ryzen 7 5700X, Gigabyte 700W PSU, RTX 4060, 32GB Corsair 3200 RAM, M.2 SSD, and Crucial SATA SSD. I’m reaching out for help quickly, as I rely on the PC to stay connected with others and am currently isolated.
I attempted to disconnect all non-essential components without any noticeable change. I reset the CMOS and replaced the battery, but it only booted briefly for five minutes before shutting down again. The time and date were completely incorrect, and it hasn't started working properly since then.
The CMOS battery keeps all the system settings active, including time and date. Powering on without it resets everything, so the BIOS will reset automatically. I’m concerned the CPU is overheating and might burn out if it stays on too long. Have you applied thermal paste to the CPU and ensured proper cooling with the cooler?
