Over the last couple of weeks I've encountered issues with my CPU installation for my computer, repeatedly seeing blue screens. Recently I decided to investigate potential problems with Windows. Previously I had configured my CPU to 3.0GHz to maintain stability in Windows. I intended to boot into safe mode and adjust it to 4.6GHz, which matched the automatic settings of my motherboards. I did this to rule out corrupted Windows files that might trigger blue screens even in safe mode. After saving and exiting, the machine would freeze during power cycles. Upon restarting, it reset the BIOS continuously. Since the board lacks debug indicators or displays, I’m unsure what’s causing the trouble. The manual provides no guidance on troubleshooting or online resources. My old i7 6700 with a Z170 motherboard is likely to be swapped temporarily. Tomorrow I plan to bring it to a local repair shop just to relieve some stress. System details: CPU: i7 9700K, Motherboard: Gibabyte Z390, RAM: generic SK Hynix 2x8GB at 2133MHz, GPU: MSI Ventus 1660 Ti, Storage: M.2 1TB SATA blue, SSD: Seagate SSD 500GB, PSU: Fractal Design Integrated 450W Bronze.
