I also attempted to flash the bios again to check if this was the problem I inserted the usb drive and pressed the flash button, but nothing occurred—no light appeared and previously there was a light that turned off after completion.

Use a small metal item like a screwdriver or coin to briefly touch the jumper. It’s completely safe with no risks involved.
