The computer frequently stops while running games.
Hello everyone, I’m dealing with an issue where my PC frequently shuts down while playing games like CSGO or COD. Even when I start a game, it suddenly turns off completely—sometimes all lights go out and the PC has no power. I can still hear myself talking on Discord, so others can understand me, but I can’t see anything on the screen and can’t interact with it. Occasionally, my image flickers or disappears, yet I can still hear the audio. I’ve tried adjusting power settings in the control panel to high performance, checked the cooling system, and even swapped out my RAM and GPU to confirm they were installed correctly. My CPU was removed and reinstalled to verify its orientation. The Event Viewer logged a critical error labeled “Kernel-Power,” indicating the shutdown timing. I’m unsure what to do next and don’t want to waste money on repairs. I’ve already replaced my main SSD to rule out that as the cause. My system specs are: RTX 3070 Ti, Ryzen 2600x, 32GB 3200Mhz RAM, and an 850W power supply, all managed by a custom cooling loop.
Consider installing a BIOS update for better stability—it's straightforward. If your temperature readings are accurate, try DDU and reinstall the drivers. Also, switch to a different PSU if you have one, possibly from another computer if you can access it.
Followed the advice given by Solado, but it seems the power supply isn't managing the load effectively.
