Hello everyone,

I’m experiencing a problem while gaming; my computer freezes, requiring a forceful shutdown to regain control, and occasionally results in a blue screen displaying “thread stuck in device driver.” I’ve researched this online and attempted the recommended solutions, but it persists. Updating my BIOS appears to be the final step according to the advice I've found, though I lack experience with that process.

I don’t have any idle cores identified, and I’ve run a malware scan, isolating any problematic files. The only recent change was replacing my monitor after its failure; I reverted to an older television I previously owned. My current build is just one month old and had functioned without issues until this monitor swap.

Any assistance would be incredibly helpful, and if further information is needed to diagnose the issue, please let me know below.

What equipment are you utilizing?
Specifically, please detail the motherboard, central processing unit (CPU), random access memory (RAM), and hard disk drive/solid state drive.
Alternatively, could you provide the brand and model of your pre-assembled computer?
And, did you perform a fresh installation of Windows with this updated system?

I don’t know what steps you’ve already taken. I would recommend performing a clean driver installation by removing all existing drivers and then installing the newest available version.
