I recently installed a new monitor for that smooth high refresh rate performance. At first, everything worked fine for a few days until yesterday when it stopped posting after three beeps. I checked online and discovered the beeps indicated a RAM problem. Since my RAM was old, I thought the chips were faulty. I replaced them and reconfigured everything on another monitor that uses HDMI. It worked perfectly. But when I connected my other monitor via DisplayPort, the issue returned. After restarting my PC, the beeps came again and posting failed. I unplugged the DisplayPort and restarted it. Once it worked, Windows would launch normally. After another reboot, Windows entered recovery mode. If I run Windows in safe mode, the problem disappears. I tried reinstalling Windows but it crashed during the process. I’m unsure what to do and am considering giving up on this PC. TLDR: The DisplayPort likely caused Windows 11 to crash. --Specs-- Ryzen 5 2700x, RX 580, 16GB DDR4, MSI B450, 650W PSU

It appears the signal is outside specifications. Check the frequency or resolution, or lower the volume.

Thanks for the reply. Fell asleep out of frustration... But this is where I'm at rn. I cleared the Cmos and that fixed Windows 11, somehow. Now it loads up flawlessly everytime. But if I try to start my Computer with the display port, it still won't post. If I first start it with an HDMI and then plug the DP, it works fine. I've tried fucking with Hz from 30 to 144 and it still does it. Idk if it helps but I've noticed that the DP fails always on second restart using that method. Ive tried my roommates DP and I also ran to Best Buy and bought another DP with no luck...

Have you attempted to repair it and reinstall the drivers?
