Sent a PC to my brother in Hawaii and they handled it roughly. Now it doesn’t boot. It powers on when plugged in, RGB lights up, but fans spin and then stop quickly. The CPU was shipped separately, so maybe that’s not the issue. They dented the case near the power supply. I’m confused about why it won’t start—everything seems correctly seated. Wires, RAM, CPU, GPU all checked. Possibly a problem with the motherboard or PSU; need some advice.

The PC might have suffered damage during transit, possibly affecting the motherboard, CPU cooler, or graphics card.

Possible answer: Yes, PSU could be responsible for it, though I wouldn't expect bent CPU pins.

A typical PSU problem leading to this situation is an insufficient power supply, causing instability or failure.

Verify each cable is securely connected on both the PSU and the motherboard end. Reconnect them if needed. Inspect the GPU pins for any damage, reposition the GPU and RAM if necessary. Check the CPU pins for bending. Assess whether the MOBO appears compromised.

That means if there were any internal harm.

The mobo appears okay. The CPU cooler was still connected without the CPU, and the GPU stayed in during shipping since it was mounted vertically. The GPU PCIe riser was damaged during shipping, but I placed a replacement. The GPU pins have minor scratches, though I don’t think they’re causing any issues.

You're sensing movement near the power supply unit. It might be related to the cables connected to it.

You're asking for clarification about a minor scratch on the GPU. It might help to see an image showing the damage. You also mentioned checking if the CPU pins are in good condition and wondering if the motherboard's many tiny components could be the issue. I understand you're considering ruling out a MOBO board because of its small pins on the back.

A tower cooler might have caused the board to bend or move, leading to invisible damage. The GPU could have taken a hit—consider taking it out and restarting with another unit or a different one in another port.
