A few days ago I was using AMD overdrive to boost my CPU by a few MHz. It didn’t require much adjustment—voltage stayed the same, only clock speed changed. Recently, after turning it on, it loads Windows but freezes at the Windows 10 lock screen, turning black while the case fans spin. The power and reset buttons aren’t working either. I can only boot normally by unplugging it or flipping the PSU switch to shut it off. Once plugged back in and powered on, everything works again. (The buttons function properly during operation.) Until then, a restart didn’t fix the issue. After removing the overclock settings, it stopped working again (only during shutdown). Since then I’ve disabled the overclock, but it still fails when it shuts down.
