The computer fails to show any output once it is powered down during driver installation.
I acquired a used graphics card and followed the usual steps. While installing the drivers, I connected the RGB lighting for the card. I noticed the connectors were different, so when I tried to install the previously stored light source, it appeared as a white light and caused the system to shut down before completing the driver setup. The card powers on but doesn’t display anything. I’ve tested with other cards and an HDMI port (though I don’t have an IGPU), but nothing worked. I’m unsure what’s wrong and really need my computer functioning. Please assist.
What are your complete system specifications? Drivers aren't the focus here—though forcing a restart during installation could cause issues later. It seems you might have cut a power cable, which would stop the system from starting if no monitors are detected.
Thanks, and I can't find anything specifically unplugged. Here are images plus specs (gpu removed for visibility) Amd Ryzen 5 3600(x I am pretty sure) Amd RX 5600 XT -> Amd RX 6900 XT 650w psu (thermaltake I think) 2x8 (16 total) gb of g.skill ripjaws V ram (3200 Mhz) Asus prime B450-M 1.built the pc ~3 years ago and have used it since 2.I also need to mention the little light on the motherboard no longer works 3.Ik 650w isn't the best choice for the 6900xt but I want to try it before I have to fork over for a new psu 4.
