The computer fails to power up.
Hey everyone, I set up a PC for my brother's girlfriend a couple of months back and it was running perfectly. One day she opened an email and the machine just shut down completely—no power loss, no sparks, just turned off and stayed off afterward. Everything looks brand new. What I've tried: checked all cables, unplugged the switch, shorted the header, and the fan spun briefly before stopping again. This seems to happen every time I attempt to short the power button. The PSU has an on/off switch and is currently in the on position. The case has an RGB strip that lights up as soon as power is applied, confirming electricity is reaching the PC. The only issue is it won't fully power on or boot. If anyone has suggestions or solutions, I'd really appreciate hearing them!

Could benefit from two external switches on the power supply and a soft momentary switch without on/off controls on the front or top of the case. It might be worth removing the side panel to check for lights or movement when powered. The possibility is either no power reaching the PSU, no output from the PSU, or no visible connection at this stage.
