Motherboard: Gigabyte AMD 770
Processor: AMD Athlon II X4 620 (2.6GHz)
Graphics Card: GeForxe GTX 750
RAM: 10GB
PSU: Xion 700W - Model No: XON-700P12N
Hey everyone. I just installed a GTX 750 two days ago without any problems. It performed perfectly until overnight. I changed the power outlets to the PSU but still couldn’t get it to turn on. Now only the mouse light shows power, and nothing else works. Everything seemed fine the night before. Could it be the PSU needs replacing?

Also, a few months ago I cleaned my PC thoroughly of dust. When I tried to power it up, it wouldn’t work at all. Fans would spin but the monitor didn’t get a signal. I left it for a couple of months, then moved it and it worked again. I’m not sure if this is related to the current issue. Right now, I’m leaning toward the PSU being the problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

ThatGuyBrandon :
The power supply has pretty bad reviews. Like I dont even think they are selling that model anymore and there is hardly any information on the web.
I would change the PSU to something like this
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CX750-Bu...B008RJZR40
Remember you should never slack on the power supply as the whole system relies on it.
Good luck!
The Corsair CX series of power supplies use poor capacitors and are not recommended in my opinion. Go with an XFX 650W power supply or a Seasonic 620W power supply.

Really? I wasn't aware the PC was prebuilt, but I'm definitely considering a new one. It lasted five years, so I thought it was durable enough for the tasks I'm doing.

Krispetey says he wasn't aware the PC was prebuilt, but he plans to check for a newer option. He thinks it lasted five years and is likely worn out now. Pre-built PCs often have weaker power supplies, so they replace them with better components to boost performance. He wishes good luck in finding a replacement.

I faced a comparable problem with my new GPU. I ordered a XFX Radeon R9 290 card and initially encountered no monitor signal after installation. After researching, I discovered my MSI motherboard's BIOS required an update due to outdated firmware. After updating the BIOS, reinstalling the GPU and swapping cards resolved the issue. Hope this helps?
