I thought I’d let you know I discovered a way to prevent the GPU from crashing when loading a game. After restarting the PC, I opened MSSI and adjusted the system clocks to lower values—600 cores and 1600 memory clock. Since then, the GPU no longer crashes during game load. I haven’t tried other settings, but I’m not sure why this works or if there’s another fix.

occasionally i observe that during gameplay my gpu speeds become stuck at low numbers—around 400 for core and 900 for memory clock. changing them in the system settings doesn't help, and the game runs very slow. the only solution seems to be restarting the pc or uninstalling the display driver via device manager, waiting about 30 seconds for it to reappear, after which the gpu clocks return to normal. could a nvidia setting be affecting this issue? these are my nvidia control panel preferences.

The PSU provides two distinct 12V power lines, suitable for roughly 200W each. Connect the GPU separately to the second line, while keeping the rest on the first. Avoid running both CPU and GPU together, as this could overload the system and trigger overcurrent protection.

Sure, I can help with that. What kind of rails are you working with?

The cables originate from the power supply into the motherboard one with two four-pin connectors entering the country and another blue cable featuring two six-pin connectors for the GPU. A twenty-four-pin connector is connected to the motherboard, while three separate SATA ports link to the hard drives. No additional connectors are attached beyond these.

Because that power supply isn’t modular and lacks additional connectors, it’s likely you have limited options for connecting components. You might reduce the load by not powering the hard drives, but it’s probable the PSU isn’t sufficient on its own. Without testing a more capable unit, it’s probably best to consider borrowing one instead.

You might risk damaging the system if you connect only one PSU connector and use the adapter for the second GPU pin. Check compatibility before proceeding.

These options aren't advisable, as SATA connectors aren't built for such high power levels.
