A few months back I chose to upgrade my computer because it was still working well, but I wanted something more capable. I purchased a new CPU (13700k), a motherboard (MSI - MPG Z690 FORCE WIFI), fresh RAM (CORSAIR - DOMINATOR PLATINUM 32GB (2PK x 16GB) 5600MHz DDR5), and a new SSD (WD - BLACK SN850X 2TB Internal SSD). After installing everything, things ran smoothly for about three months. Then suddenly I encountered a blue screen. At first I thought it was a one-time issue, but it kept appearing more often. My games would crash frequently, and eventually I experienced freezes that prevented me from moving the mouse or even launching applications. Instead of a clear error message, I received confusing messages like Java scripts or Windows errors. When I tried fixing it myself using online tips, nothing helped. I suspected the GPU might be faulty, so I asked a friend to test it on his system—it worked perfectly. Then I thought about the motherboard, but replacing it didn’t solve the problem. Now I’m leaning toward the CPU, though I don’t have a spare to try it out. I’m unsure if the chip failed after months of use, if my Windows is corrupted, or if there’s malware involved. I just can’t figure out what’s wrong. If anyone reads this, please share your advice! P.S. I got my PC back from a friend; it no longer shows blue screens or freezes, but I still face crashes while playing games and running apps. I also can’t promise those issues will disappear with more use. My motherboard is ASUS TUF B760-M PLUS WIFI, RAM is CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB PRO DDR4 3200 MHZ, CPU is Intel I7 13700K, GPU is GEFORCE RTX 3080, storage includes a WD BLACK SN850X NVME SSD and an old HDD. The power supply is an old 750W unit. Updated June 27, 2023 – forgot to mention it no longer shows blue screens, but other issues remain.**
