I was trying to switch my operating system but had trouble choosing between Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Pro. The cost seemed similar for both, but I noticed more advanced features in Windows 10 Pro compared to Home. Still unsure which fits better or what settings to disable. For gaming and light video editing, I’d recommend considering what matters most and turning off unnecessary options.

These capabilities are mainly designed for business environments and power users, not for compromising personal privacy. If you're unsure about their purpose, it's probably unnecessary for your needs, making the Home version sufficient.

Assume any Windows 10 version is essentially transmitting all your information to Microsoft constantly. You can toggle small options in the OS claiming they don’t share data, but I haven’t found anyone confirming this. Stick with Linux or macOS instead. I don’t personally favor either, though they’re better than Windows 10.

Windows 10 Pro's benefits don't appeal to the majority of users. Those seeking the premium version typically have powerful hardware like Threadrippers or Xeons, and they require over 128GB of RAM, which Windows 10 Home cannot accommodate.

There would be substantial legal battles everywhere if that happened.

Without an EULA it's likely there would be.

10 Pro offers capabilities that many users don’t require. For instance, it supports two sockets, more than 128GB of RAM, domain integration, and Hyper-V—features typically unnecessary for most home users.

The EULA relates to this because if Microsoft was detected transmitting data, offering a switch would immediately trigger high-level legal actions.
