The company damaged my laptop.
I own a Lenovo laptop equipped with a Ryzen 7 6800U and Radeon Graphics. It had a TPM stuttering problem that was fixed a few months back. Recently, I found an AMD driver update and wondered if it would be wise to try DDU first before updating. I shouldn’t have done that. Now my laptop is stuttering heavily—mouse movements, games, videos are all affected. The DDU appears to have removed whatever code was used to fix the TPM issue. I attempted a fresh BIOS install using a file from Lenovo’s site, but tried many AMD and chipset drivers. I’ve reinstalled Windows multiple times (resetting and doing a full install from USB). It’s been checked. Since I need to turn off TPM to stop the stuttering, I can’t install Windows 11. I’m currently using Fedora. If anyone has suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.
