I don’t play ranked, though most of my friends are fairly decent at it. (Don’t ask me about the ranks—I’m not interested...) I should note that CS:GO vsyncs runs smoothly at 240FPS by default, and I can’t lower it below 60 no matter what I do... I attempted to force CS:GO into peasant mode at 30FPS, but that didn’t work.

I experience stuttering even at 60 frames per second.

Thinking about old monitors, they usually run at 240Hz, so V-sync probably isn't active. It seems you're certain it's not being used.

It's the triple buffering that syncs at X times your monitor's refresh rate. If you understood what you were talking about, you'd know the Source Engine is limited to 300 FPS by default.

The triple buffer doesn't limit FPS to three times your refresh rate, because V-sync restricts it to monitor refresh only. It offers double buffering advantages without needing V-sync, plus the perks of turning on V-sync. Triple buffering provides smooth full frames with no tearing.

Start your CS:GO installation, turn on FPS tracking, and verify it works.

I had to work with VSync on in CD GO before becoming a LEM. After that, I still struggled with SMFC but kept getting headshots. I ended up winning around 15 games without a win streak.
