I completed a BIOS reset and it restarted, but the screen remains off. I removed the CMOS battery yet nothing changed. Inspected the RAM and CPU as well... The CPU fan often spins while both keyboard and mouse receive power, sometimes only the keyboard works, and occasionally the CPU fan shuts down on its own. Need your assistance. System: i5 2500, 2 GB DDR3, 1333MHz, ZEB-H61M2 board.

It’s not typical for everyday users to suddenly decide to update their BIOS settings. The motivation behind such a change usually stems from specific technical needs or issues.

Inspect the RAM slot and refer to the motherboard manual to find the correct placement.

The system's age suggests its memory was initially set correctly. The BIOS reset was probably needed to resolve an issue or ensure proper functionality.

It's unclear whether the OP recently purchased the system or has been using it for a long time before the problem occurred.

He must address several queries and provide background details. There might be issues like GPU artifacts causing display problems after BIOS reset, which could be the final push the GPU needed. It’s uncertain, so we should clarify these points before offering help. The original poster deserves more attention to questions and support from the community.

I purchased a used CPU from Amazon recently, while the motherboard remains brand new. While configuring my system, I encountered issues installing Windows, so I decided to reset the default BIOS settings. The RAM came from my old 2011 computer.
