You damaged your retention clip on the top PCIe slot, connected your GT1030, and the second monitor isn’t working—was it the clip that caused this? Could a broken clip affect other displays too?

The retention clip is made entirely of plastic. I haven’t seen any model with a sensor in it. It seems your problem might be different. Double-check if anything else was damaged during the breakage.

my brother removed the gpu from the motherboard without lowering the clip, causing it to fall out. afterward, he reinserted it properly. from what i see, everything seems intact, though i haven’t run any tests or benchmarks to confirm anything was wrong. the computer is still functioning normally.

One of the small metal components shifted out of place, so I think I should reattach it or use hot glue since trying to reattach it by hand doesn’t work.
