I’m completely at a loss regarding what steps to take next.

My system details, as indicated in my profile, show that I’ve attempted reinstalling Civilization V repeatedly over the last forty-eight hours. I've also checked for game file integrity through Steam, experimented with compatibility settings, and run the game as an administrator—as 2K support advised. I’m feeling quite bewildered at this point.

The issue is that Civilization V launches without problems, displaying the company logo and other elements correctly. However, after the introductory video for Brave New World, there’s a brief moment of loading, followed by an abrupt crash. There are no error messages or indications of any problem; it simply returns to the desktop as if I’d pressed ALT+F4.

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, please advise me. If I require to provide further information to aid in troubleshooting, just let me know. The game is installed on my solid-state drive and previously functioned perfectly before the Civilization V launcher update. I use DirectX 10/11 for graphics.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

This PC configuration includes an Intel Core i7-4770 processor running at 3.9 GHz, paired with an ASUS Sabertooth Z87 motherboard and a GALAX GTX 1080Ti graphics card with 11GB of memory. The system is equipped with 16GB of Corsair RAM at a speed of 1866MHz, utilizing a 400GB Intel SSD 750 Series and a 4TB Western Digital Caviar Black hard drive. It operates on Windows 10 (64-bit) powered by a Corsair RM1000 power supply. As components are frequently upgraded, specifications can vary considerably. Therefore, we request that users provide their current system details within the thread to ensure the advice given remains applicable. To troubleshoot potential issues, please verify that your motherboard has the most recent BIOS version and consider reinstalling your graphics card drivers – if you're already using the newest ones, try reverting to an older version to see if it resolves any problems.

Thank you for applying my glasses!

I wasn't feeling very cheerful when I wrote this seeking assistance. I’ve been struggling with it for a while now.

Lutfij:
Have you double-checked that your motherboard has the newest BIOS version? Have you also attempted to remove and reinstall your graphics card drivers? If you're using the latest version, try reverting to a previous driver to see if that makes a difference.

BIOS: I haven’t updated it recently, but it hasn't caused problems before; I’ll take a look at that now. EDIT: I just updated the BIOS to the latest version. No improvement.

Regarding GPU drivers, I completely removed them, installed GeForce Experience again, and then installed their newest drivers. There’s been no change in the situation.
